Java Backend Developer

Full-time, Unlimited

Currently, we are looking for Java backend developers for a long-term project with a global retailer from the United Kingdom. The main aim of the project is migration from a fairly large Oracle-based monolith system into microservices with additional functionality.

Main responsibilities:
  • Backend software development of microservices, interfaces, protocols.
  • Regular interaction with client for refinement sessions, planning, and standup meetings.
  • Prepare technical documentation.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
  • 3+ years of commercial software development experience.
  • Confident knowledge of Java programming.
  • Understanding and practical experience of Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Good to have experience with Spring Framework, Docker, Kafka, NoSQL databases.
  • Good to have experience with cloud services such as Spring Cloud, Azure, or others.
  • Upper-Intermediate English (B2) writing and speaking skills.
  • Self-dependence and open communication.

AMS Java Developer

The Java Developer for Application Support Team will participate in solution implementation projects based on Oracle Retail applications. You will contribute to the development, delivery and maintenance of business solutions based on Oracle technologies.

The Java Developer will support a range of Oracle products through all phases of solution implementation projects (analyse, design, build, test, production, maintenance). You are skilled to design, configure, develop and test of Oracle software products to meet both functional and technical requirements. You will be responsible for implementing the application extensions, reports, data conversion and integration components.

Main responsibilities:
  • Assist and participate in designing and implementing of technical, solution and integration architecture.
  • Participate in capturing and analysis of functional and technical requirements.
  • Complete detailed technical documentation of proposed coding tasks based on guidelines and corporate style.
  • Develop and test required changes, modifications, extensions until the deadline date.
  • Customer interaction and service in support of the software.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
  • Master's degree.
  • 2+ years of commercial software development experience.
  • 2+ years of work experience with JAVA, SQL, XML, J2SE, Swing, Servlets API, JDBC, JUnit, Ant, Maven.

PL/SQL Developer

The PL/SQL Developer will participate in solution implementation projects based on Oracle Retail applications. You will contribute to the development, delivery and maintenance of business solutions based on Oracle technologies.

  • Provide support to sales staff during product demonstrations to current and potential customers.

Application Management Engineer

The Application Management Engineer is responsible for system condition monitoring in accordance with Project Regulation, Incident/Problem solving, dealing with Clients/Vendor, analysis of frequently occurring errors of Oracle Retail Applications. The AP Engineer is involved in maintenance and enhancement of Oracle Retail Modules and those that interface with other applications.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
  • University degree in the field of computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in technical support within 24/7 is welcome.
  • Deep SQL knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Retail Business is welcome.
  • Knowledge of any Oracle Retail Applications version 14 or below is welcome.
  • Experience with long-term international IT-projects is welcome.
  • Strong motivation to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to communicate in English on a fluent level to interact in an international team as well as to understand and create technical documents.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
