Project Manager – System Upgrade & Migration

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead a strategic system upgrade and migration project for Retailer’s warehouse management system from AIX to Linux. It was requested to perform the Database upgrade to the highest suitable version either in parallel or after the AIX to Linux migration.

What you’ll do

Lead and manage project delivery in a multicultural, multi-vendor environment.
Utilize project management tools for task tracking, planning, time tracking, reporting, and requirements management.
Change requests management.
Conduct thorough project estimations, including risk assessments, assumptions, time estimates, and resource planning.
Ensure that the services are delivered on time, within budget.
Be responsible for staffing by matching individuals for successful project delivery.
Manage customer stakeholders' expectations and effectively communicate technical constraints.
Build and maintain relationships with the customer.
Provide regular reporting to senior management, internally (including milestones and resource allocation) and towards the customer at the Director and at the C-level.
Actively manage and follow-up on staffing, including succession planning and managing risks of attrition.
Actively follow-up and manage/resolve risks, issues, concerns in a timely manner, both internally and externally.

What we need

Excellent project management experience: planning, scheduling, project communication,change management, and risk management.
Proven track record of managing large-scale system migration projects (nice to have: migration to cloud and cloud repatriation).
Strong experience with database migration projects and infrastructure transformations.
High level understanding of Unix/Linux systems administration.
Knowledge of database management systems and migration procedures.
Understanding of IT infrastructure and system architecture.
Experience in delivering Fixed price projects.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
B2+ English level proficiency.
Experience with Jira.
